Daycare Ministry
About

Relationship Between the Church and Child Care
The relationship between the church and the child care program is one that is very supportive. The vision of the church is to minister to the “entire man”. That same vision is carried out in the day care program. Strong churches are built by strong families so it is our mission to build people. It is our effort to minister to the spiritual, physical, mental/emotional, financial, and social needs of “man”. We use this scripture as a basis for meeting these needs. Luke 2:52 KJVS ~ And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Spiritual Formation: We provide educational experiences to strengthen people’s faith in Jesus Christ. These experiences may come in different forms such as classroom instruction, informal group discussions, prayer, and presentations from leaders in the church.
Physical Formation: We provide the space and opportunity where children, staff, and church members can participate in physical activity to promote wellness. We place emphasis on developing the gross motor skills in our children. We encourage and expose the children to outdoor play time activities which help develop these skills. For church members we have a bike club and walk club that will meet to strengthen relationships and the body.
Mental/Emotional: We promote wellness of the mind and emotional health. Daycare staff are trained to be very supportive and encouragement is a tool frequently used in the development of children. Positive is contagious and we intentionally create that culture in our classrooms and church. In our church we have wellness meetings to have open dialogue for any mind challenges.

KINGS' KIDS DAYCARE MINISTRY

Financial: We provide instructional teaching along with videos and workbooks on financial peace. Our daycare students are provided with the tools to understand how numbers play a role in our daily lives.
Social/Community: Provide social activities to facilitate building a community of faith that is supportive for members and families. In addition, social events will involve reaching out to members of the community. We have annual community days to assist kids with backpacks, school supplies, free haircuts, dental checkups and much more. This will involve members, staff, families, and outside agencies. We share the same parking lot with Butler Lab school 55 and we community partner with them to provide teacher support, mentoring, and before and after care.

The Goals for the Childcare Program
The goal for the child care program is to build strong kids, strong families, and a strong community. We want to provide a SAFE place where kids can develop to their full potential. Our desire is for children to have a curriculum that will prepare them to transition to their next level. We want to provide the best care so families will feel safe knowing their kids are in good hands. Our desire is for the daycare to be self-sufficient and be able to financially meet the needs of the daily operations and staffing. Our goal is to have the staff that is trained and certified to meet the needs of the families that we serve. We want the daycare to be a feeder program for our neighboring school. Our goal is to achieve the paths to Quality to assist in these goals.
